Roof Cleaning in Kent

Using specialist roof cleaning equipment, we clean your roof safely from the appropriate access platform without using pressure washers. We begin by cleaning the ridge & hip tiles, using wire brushes to remove any moss and debris. We then go on to scrape the rest of the moss from your roof using Freeman Flexi-scrapers. With a range of 27 tile profiles, each scraper is suited to the tiles we are cleaning. We will never walk along a roof pressure washing, this is an unsafe method of cleaning which could lead to considerable damage to your home. Once we have removed 90-95% of the moss from the roof, we then proceed to vacuum out all guttering of any moss. All of your downpipes are covered with gutter guards whilst we remove the moss from your roof, which helps to prevent any blockages and allows downpipes and gutters to flow as they should.

Steam cleaning
Once we have removed 90-95% of the moss from your roof, there are then two options available to clean your roof tiles.

Steam Cleaning (option 1)
Steam cleaning your roof tiles is the safest method to instantly clean them. Steam cleaning a roof insantly improves the aesthetic of your roof. If you are looking to give your property an eye catching makeover, then this is the method of roof cleaning that will exceed your expectations. Some companies may offer cold water pressure washing, but roof tiles are not designed to be put under excessively high pressure. Cleaning your roof tiles using a pressure washer can result in damage to the property itself and the contractor. Here at JBCS Kent, we use the most up to date steam cleaning equipment to gently remove unwanted dirt and grime from your roof tiles. Our steam cleaning equipment can convert cold water to 150 degrees celcius steam. With heat being a vital factor in cleaning exterior surfaces, it allows our technicians to safely clean your tiles so that all moss, alage lichen and other organic growth is instantly removed without the need for excessively high pressure washing. Once your roof tiles have been cleaned, we complete a soft wash. Soft washing your roof after having it steam cleaned helps to prevent any moss or organic growth coming back in the future. All of our chemicals used during our roof cleans are HSE approved. We also collect all chemicals which run off your roof tiles to save them from entering your drainage or water butts.

Soft-washing (option 2)

Soft washing is a gradual cleaning process, with no risk of damage to your hard surfaces. It is an affordable, safe & effective method of removing algae, dirt & stains from your property. The method of soft washing is applying chemicals to your roof tiles through a device known as a Dosatron. The Dosatron is a dosing unit which connects onto an outside tap, whilst connected to soft-wash chemicals to ensure that there is a perfect ratio of cleaning solution applied to clean your roof. The results are progressively achieved over a 2-6 month period. Soft-washing ensures no damage is caused to your roof like pressure washing can do.
